10 TV: A group of middle school students donated more than $2,000 on Friday to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research in honor of 10TV anchor Heather Pick. Heather died on Nov. 7 after a brave and public battle with breast cancer. Seventh-graders at Karrer Middle School held a Turkey Bowl in which they collected pledges to benefit the fund… During an assembly Friday, 255 seventh-graders presented check for $2,053 in Heather's honor… The students also presented a $2,000 check to help a Dublin family whose fifth-grade son died earlier this year of a blood disorder.
Fluff? Yes… but we never run good news and I loved this story… These children are examples for us all…
