Nathan Williams Pleads, Reports to Dog House

Freshman defensive end Nathan Williams pleaded not guilty to shoplifting shirts at a Dayton-area mall. He entered the plea through his attorney. Coach Jim Tressel said Williams will not be suspended but will face significant team penalties (including practice and personal time penalties). His participation in Glendale depends on his performance under that punishment. If convicted of the first-degree misdemeanor, Williams could face up to six months in jail.

This punishment was not unexpected. Obviously, Ohio State was disgusted with Williams… But, his crime doesn’t rise to the level Mo Clarett used to pull…
