Cost and style are mutually exclusive. Unfortunately, any store can charge any price for anything. Justification or rationality are not required. What I may consider trash, they may price as exquisite. What I would consider exquisite, they may price as trash.
J-Crew epitomizes this reality. They price every piece as if it were a diamond. Sadly, a review of their collection will produce more coal than carats. For every score, there are one half dozen scares. Button downs, polos, and sweaters that you can either find mirrors of elsewhere, find better of elsewhere, or find more reasonably priced elsewhere. Again, I’m not saying this collection is vacant… It just isn’t worth the hype.
