Nothing to Celebrate Here

10 TV: Police were searching for two teenagers after a 13-year-old was shot early Monday. Investigators said three teenagers, ages 13, 17 and 18, were at a home on Rankin Avenue, located on the city's northeast side, at about 12:30 a.m. when the older teenagers decided to take out a gun…The teenagers were looking at the the gun when it went off and struck the 13-year-old in the hand…He was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital and was expected to be OK…Investigators said the 18-year-old threatened to shoot any officer who went near him before the older teenagers fled. He should be considered armed and dangerous…

Obviously, this was some kind of accident… Still, guns in teenagers hands and another one to add to the count (it’s ten in case you’ve forgotten)…

NBC 4: The recreation and parks department is looking at a 21 percent cut to its budget next year… Two of the biggest festivals -- the Jazz and Rib Fest and Festival Latino -- cost $234,000 combined. Recreation and Parks department Director Alan McKnight is looking at options as well as for both Festival Latino and the Jazz and Rib Fest.

Columbus can cut cops, education, and city services… When they start cutting our ability to drink at public events… That crosses the line…
