Want My Opinion?

NBC 4: Columbus council chambers were packed as people voiced their opinions over its 2009 budget. Almost everyone who showed up discussed their concern over the proposed closing of 11 rec centers. Neighborhood leaders, program directors, parents and children told council members that closing the centers would put kids out on the streets, many also offered suggestions on ways to finance the centers. The city is expected to finalize budget in February. Another public hearing will be December 16th at 530 p.m.

Of course, that was a rhetorical question… You know you want my opinion… Closing the rec centers is a bad idea… Cutting the cops, another bad idea… Where will the funds come from to keep both from happening? I don’t have the faintest idea… But what I do know, is both those involve keeping our children safe and we should always have money for that…
