Quick Read

After a week off, our daily dissection returns with a rare treat… The opportunity to both congratulate and criticize a journalist within the same edition… Mark Ferenchick’s story (metro) on a significant oversight lapse (brought to you by Mayor Coleman), which cost taxpayers is excellent… Regrettably, Ferenchik’s feature (front page) on the city cutting property investigators, which features a great title and photo, falls flat after five paragraphs…

Mike Pramik types the edition’s most interesting story (business) on the renovation of Ohio State’s Cunz Hall…. Ken Gordon’s (sports) discussion of Ohio State’s Lady Buckeyes is dull, but solid…. Unfortunately, Bob Hunter is once again ridiculous, with an entire column on how one play can change a game (seriously)…

Also, who wrote the headline about Michigan State mauling Louisville… The front page screaming headline makes you think that the Spartans were a 15 defeating a 2, instead of a 2 over 1… (An upset which I am sure the selection committee thought implausible)…
