Quick Read

James Nash’s meticulous reporting on a scam that scorched 8,000 senior citizens is offset by insipid, non-front page worthy stories, about the Vitamin D crisis (there’s a Vitamin D crisis?) and the method schools use for determining how cold is to cold for school (in case your wondering, the report never actually says… And the point of his piece was what?)…

Worse than the front page foolishness is Bob Hunter’s complete ridiculous column, which includes (I hope you are sitting down), a comparison between the Blue Jackets and the Stanley Cup Champion Oilers of 1986-1990… Yes, the Oilers that had Wayne Gretzky… Bob, are you stoned?

Finally, Life and Arts was the lone positive stand out, featuring a punchy, but pertinent column on football viewers versus series viewers… Equally intriguing was the column on live events in 3D… The premise was outstanding and while the writing left something to be desired, the information was well worth the boredom.
