Quick Read

As previously stated, special sections are to newspapers what bunnies are to this website… And the Blue Jackets special section is outstanding… Aaron Portzline types a poignant piece on the original band of Blue Jackets… Roy Stein recounts the playoff experience of the seemingly inexperienced squad… And the section features brilliant overall NHL playoff coverage…

Tom Reed (sports) continues the playoff perfection with an exquisite read about Stanley Cup overtime… Portzline presents a solid piece on the Blue Jackets overall acceptable record versus elite teams, but the piece wasn’t enough to be on it’s own…

Rita Price’s (metro) column on renter’s struggling with increasing costs is intriguing… Encarnacion Pyle’s (front) story on Ohio State teachers stirs an interesting debate (why does the university have so many teachers), but the piece is over reliant on statistics… And Steve Wartenburg’s lead on ticket availability in Detroit versus ticket unavailability in Columbus is pedestrian… The Red Wings have been to the playoffs in eighteen consecutive seasons… A story should be written if people weren’t complacent…
