Quick Read

The front-page photo, workers spraying “Stanley Cup Playoffs” onto the ice, is excellent… It is the perfect introduction for a sports section, the Blue Jackets would be wise to mirror… No column is spectacular, but each is worth reading…

Bill Rabinowitz’s feature on the possibility of an upset is the best of the bunch… Tom Reed’s column on the composition of the Blue Jackets and how that composition bodes well for the first round is outstanding… Even Bob Hunter contributes a solid piece, although his does protest a bit much… (Bob, Detroit is the defending Stanley Cup champions… Their players can say what they want)…

Ken Gordon (sports) types a fascinating feature on Lawrence Wilson, a one time stellar defensive end, trying to recover from consecutive missed seasons due to leg injuries… The business section includes a great restaurant column…. As for Metro, front page stories on scooters and sewers… Seriously?
