Cold & Cops

10TV: Wednesday will be warm for December, but keep that heavy coat handy. After an early morning low of 25, sunny skies and southwest winds will quickly warm the temperature to 48 degrees... A passing cold front Wednesday night will bring rain showers in the evening. The rain will switch over to snow flurries early Thursday.

NBC 4: Budget cuts mean fewer officers on the Columbus Police force. The city has decided that 75 officer positions will not be filled in 2009. In the next few years, you'll see fewer patrol cars out on the streets. That's because the city can't afford to hire anyone else. Jake Whittenberg has more on how the city can't afford to hire new officers or firefighters and what that means for your safety.

Coffee Shop Robberies. Check. Serial Rapist. Check. Cops? Who needs cops? Columbus has raised parking meter fines and according to Channel 6, our salt supply is low. That should deter crime.
