A Quintet of Arrests

10 TV: Four people were arrested early Friday after police said they led officers on a chase. Police said they heard shots fired at about 1 a.m. near Fabron Avenue, located on the city's east side… When officers arrive at the scene, the suspected gunman and three others fled. The men led police on a short pursuit that ended on Fifth Avenue and 21st Street… Four people were taken into custody. A gun was found in the vehicle, police said.

10 TV: A man suspected of opening fire during a robbery at a gas station was arrested Friday after police surrounded an apartment complex on the city's far-east side. The man was taken into custody at about 10:30 a.m. at the complex on Elaine Place… The arrest came about an hour after a Mobile gas station, located on Hamilton Road, was robbed at gunpoint. Shots were fired during the holdup, but no injuries were reported, police said. After tracking the alleged robber to the apartment complex, police and SWAT officers geared up for a possible confrontation, but instead the man surrendered without incident… Some complex residents were evacuated from their homes during the short standoff.
