10 TV: Sources told 10TV's John Fortney on Friday that former Republican U.S. Rep. John Kasich will run for Ohio governor next year. Kasich was expected to name a campaign treasurer on Friday and file the paperwork needed to establish a campaign committee.
A formal announcement regarding Kasich's intent to run for governor was expected to come at a later date. Kasich served as a congressman eight times, from 1983 to 2001. Since Kasich left public office, he has served as a host on a Fox News program.
