You Have Questions... I Have Answers

Since Gossip Cbus began, I’ve been swamped with e-mail (thanks for the love)… While I’ve tried to give individual responses to several, I also know that some of the questions are questions others may have and thus, answering them publicly would be better… Therefore, from time to time, I will answer questions where everyone can see them…

Q: When you attend celebrity events (Brody Jenner, Pete Wentz), why not attempt interviews with the various celebrities?
A: Obviously, celebrities are the attraction… However, this website’s focus is this city… There are a thousand other websites where you can find random quotes from whomever the chosen subject is… We choose to cover the celebrity in context with the crowd, the event, and the overall venue…

Q: I’ve noticed you never refer to “venues” as busy or dead… Why is this and can you explain your scale?
A: We never refer to venues as busy or dead because those terms are both overly simplistic and not accurate… Is busy 100 people or 200 people or is busy only a completely crammed location? We choose to define patronage for venues in a broader context… Since you asked about our specific scale… Crushed (completely busy, venue is virtually impassable), Swarmed (Almost completely busy, venue still possesses walkways), Buzzing (every table and bar is occupied, but the random traffic is absent), Scattered (venue has a solid crowd, but nothing compelling), Vacant (venue is empty or virtually empty, less than fifty-one hundred people in it)…

Q: You seem to invent a new phrase or term in every post… Will you ever publish a glossary of them?
A: While I may ultimately publish definitions for our essential terms and phrases, this is not imminent. The cornerstone phrases are utilized repetitively and thus are easily discernable.
