Venue Violator Arrested

10 TV: A SWAT team arrested a man Sunday morning accused of at least one bar robbery and suspected of committing three others. SWAT officers convinced Michael Mason, 25, to surrender after he barricaded himself in a home on Olpp Avenue on the city's south side…

Investigators said Mason is a suspect in a serious of violent robberies in at least three Columbus bars… Police found out about Mason's whereabouts after a reported assault in Grove City.

Grove City police said two men were involved in an assault and ran when police arrived on scene. Police captured the man in a field. The other hid in a garage… A resident told police a man hiding in his garage forced him to drive him to the city's south side. Police said that they believe the man was Mason.

Tips lead the SWAT team to Mason at the Olpp Avenue address, police said. Police arrested two other men connected to Mason. Travis Brandon, 27, is being held on a parole violation. Police called him a potential suspect in the bar robberies. Police arrested George Griffith, 36, and charged him with attempted murder and aggravated robbery out of Grove City.
