Escapees & Explosions

10 TV: A 13-year-old boy convicted of arson in a south side fire was taken into custody Monday after he escaped from a juvenile facility for the second time. According to firefighters, authorities arrested Ryan Parsley on Markison Avenue, located in South Columbus, at about 10:30 a.m. Earlier this month, Parsley pleaded guilty to helping set a Barthman Avenue home on fire in January… Parsley was placed on two years' probation and Franklin County Children's Services, which received custody of Parsley, assigned the boy to the New Horizon Youth Center, a secure residential treatment facility in the village of Bethesda in Belmont County in eastern Ohio. He escaped from that facility last week. Parsley had previously escaped from a Franklinton treatment center in March. He turned himself in a few weeks later.

NBC 4: Columbus fire and Columbus police were called out to the city’s far West Side before 5 a.m. Monday morning. Seven vehicles were destroyed by fire at four locations; four fires were set in vehicles, but three other vehicles were damaged by proximity to the flames. The first fire was on the 2000 block of Jarrow Court. Shortly after, two vehicles were on fire at a home on the 5800 block of Trailwater Lane. The third vehicle fire was at a home on the 2000 block of Jeffey Drive. The fourth fire was on the 5700 block of Rachel Court.
