Children Face Fire

10 TV: Police said a shooting that injured a 10-year-old and a 17-year-old early Saturday may have been gang related. The shooting occurred at about 12:15 a.m. during a party at an apartment complex on Burstock Court, located on the city's southeast side… Terrance Conley lives nearby and said he heard about 30 gunshots. He looked outside and saw someone shoot a teenager. Conley called 911. Police said the teenage victim was a 17-year-old boy. He was transported to Grant Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the neck. A 10-year-old boy who was inside the apartment was also shot. He was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital. Both children suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The good news, both victims will recover… The bad news, number eighteen screams that no one, nowhere, at no time is safe…
